Now today I’m going to be going through some of the top, just kind of questions about our business, in case you’re wondering to see who is behind Red Kingdom Cleaning.

Now, my husband and I, Thomas, own it together. We bought it in 2026 in January from a great friend of ours. She started it six years ago, or five years ago, and she had just an amazing set of clients and employees and great processes and procedures, great products, and just a high value for quality care.

And so we learned a lot from her. We have the same employees. We’ve added more to our team, but they’re trained in the exact same way.

And we just love servicing the Lee’s Summit area. So we have clients in Grandview, in Greenwood, in Lee’s Summit, in Independence. We have now added people in Liberty with that same quality care.

We are not the cleaners that will come in and do something quick and be out of there. We do things that are high quality. We will spend as long as we need in order to make sure that your home is to the Red Kingdom Cleaning standard.

During the quote with you, we walk through your house, figure out what is most important to you. We customize the checklist to your home specifically. What areas do you want clean? What areas do not? We’ve got a standard set of things that we do for a clean.

However, we will customize it to you. So we have a client asked yesterday. We’ve been cleaning our house for a couple months on a biweekly schedule, and she was asked, can I add on cleaning the fronts of our cabinets? So we’re going to look and see how long does it take.

And if there needs to be an extra charge or if it’s just something that can be included, it just kind of depends on how long it takes our team. So we can customize that. That’s typically something we would just do on a deep clean, not on a biweekly schedule.

But if there are things important to you, you’re like, I don’t particularly care about this thing, but this really matters to me, we will customize it to you. That’s one of the greatest things about Red Kingdom Cleaning is we make it all about you. What are you looking for? What are you wanting? What kind of schedule? What kind of clean do you want? How depth? What’s your budget too? We can also look at your budget and see where we can help you.

Again, we are not the cheap clean. And the reason being is you can get in and out of a house quickly, but you didn’t touch every surface of the home. The home is still dirty.

The home still maybe smells or like you have a dog smell. Maybe just every area you didn’t get cleaned. Maybe your shower still has stains and markings on it.

Our cleaners will spend a large amount of time making sure that your master shower looks great. We allot enough time on it to make sure that you are getting the best clean possible for your home. Number three, what did I underestimate before stepping into this business? Number one, I probably would have walked in and been like, oh, this will take us two hours or something.

Well, we could spend, one person alone could spend an hour on the master shower. That is something that can take a lot more time than I thought. Because I thought it would be, oh, you just kind of wipe it down real quick.

But some people’s showers have deeper grout. They have a special kind of tile that you have to use special products on. Some people have a lot of families using one shower.

It could be more dirty than a family that has an older couple that doesn’t use the guest shower very often. They just want to wipe down a bit. That was probably the thing I underestimated the most, was honestly the master shower.

Number two, what an impact this has. Originally, we were looking at buying it. We were like, oh, wow, this would be a really great thing.

We would provide great jobs for the employees. I really enjoy cleaning. My husband owns a car detailing company here in Kansas City called Bespoke Automotive Refinement.

And I just thought it would be a fun and great business to own. But when we talked to our clients, it’s amazing to hear what a great service it is to them. They feel like they have their time back.

They have peace back. These moms are very busy women with full schedules. And to get to come home to a house that’s clean, smells good.

And now they can just focus on their families or getting anything done on their tasks that they would like to do. So those are two things probably I underestimated the most. What does clean actually mean to us? Now clean, again, could be a variety of things.

It could be just based on feel. Like is it based on look? Is it based on shininess? Is it based on actually how sanitized something is? Is it this got wiped down, but there’s still, you know, things like black smudges in the shower? Or are things put back where they were? Things like that can all make a really big difference. We’ve had people come to us that have had cleaners in the past.

They cleaned, but they were in and out so fast that their house still felt dirty. It still kind of had a smell to it. Or they used heavy products that made it smell really strong of chemicals, but it really wasn’t clean.

We make sure that we use great products that will make your house clean and actually be clean. Why do deep cleans take so much longer than people expect? Now most people think a deep clean, oh, you just come in and you wipe some stuff down. No, we go along the baseboards and we scrub them.

We go along the blinds and we scrub those. We touch literally every surface in your home. And I think people tend to underestimate the cost of that, how long it actually takes.

We did a quote for somebody last week. We did the clean. I thought it would be a good price.

And we ended up basically having to pay the person to clean their house because we underestimated it. So it’s very easy to underestimate a deep clean. How long is something going to take? How long is a shower? How long to get the oven clean, the inside of the refrigerator? Things like that can make a drastic difference on how long it can take.

What are the biggest mistakes people make when cleaning their own home? Now the number one thing I would say of areas that are missed are the vents. I know my own house, when I would clean, I would miss the vents. I just didn’t see them.

That was not something I really saw. Now that we own a cleaning company, I 100% see the vents. And that can make a drastic change in your allergies, how you feel.

Because that’s kind of where dirt gets trapped in there. It can make a difference on your AC. So that is something that can make you feel a lot better just by cleaning the vents.

I did one the other day for somebody for a deep clean. And I probably worked on the vent for 15 minutes. Because it took a lot of scraping to get inside of it, things like that.

So that’s an easy area for people to miss. We tend to, when we do the quotes, we’re like, Oh, I like the vents done. That’s something I just don’t usually get to.

So that’s probably the area that people miss the most. And number two, probably just the oven and refrigerator. That’s not something that you typically clean when you are cleaning your own home.
